On Friday 20 December at 18.30, Needcompany will be throwing open the doors of MILL for Needlapb #25. This edition is completely devoted to the first performance of Lee Miller in Hitler’s Bathtub, a co-composition by Maarten Seghers and a libretto by Jan Lauwers.

Needlapb #25 gives the public a unique opportunity to take a look at the working process. This is the molten core of Needcompany, the place where the practice is fluid and dynamic, and is yet to take on a definitive shape.

Needcompany is delighted to announce the laureate of MILL's annual Beauty Reality Salon fellowship: British Afro-Caribbean vocalist, movement artist, and composer Elaine Mitchener! Now in its fourth edition, this fellowship aligns closely with Needcompany's core values as an artist house that, since 1986, has prioritized individual artists and continually explored the boundaries of artistic creation.

EXPLO #4 - a sense of place - unfolds as a route through various spaces in MILL on the Gosset site in Brussels. The architecture of the building with its hidden (non-)spaces is brought to life with site-specific artistic interventions.The programme is curated by Emma van der Put and Oscar van der Put.

After three successful editions, MILL'S BEAUTY REALITY SALON returns in 2024. MBRS is a fellowship developed by and within Needcompany. It was born out of a desire to continue the multidisciplinary artistic quest that Needcompany started 30 years ago. With this € 10 000 initiative, we want to give artists the opportunity to think and create in a timeless and non-result-oriented way. Our goal is to establish new, sustainable connections.

For MILL'S REALITY SALON we are inviting artists who have never before worked with Needcompany. The call has been launched and is open to all nationalities and ages with an extra focus on artists with a link to Brussels. Deadline = 15 September!
