Technical production manager (f / m / x)

Needcompany is an international artist house based in Molenbeek, Brussels. Its creations are made in home base 'MILL' and shown on major international stages. Needcompany has the ambition to achieve a far-reaching generational transition during the policy period 23-27 and is looking for a technical production manager to help realise this. The new employee will coordinate the technical productional realisation of the artistic work, manage freelancers, manage the production budget and support the production on tour.

Job description: For this position, we are looking for a driven and enthusiastic person who, together with a small team of motivated young people, can help support, develop and expand the arts organisation. The core of the task package includes the technical productional coordination and support of the work of the creators connected to the company and the activities taking place in MILL.

— You are an important link between the various production departments and ensure planning, deadlines and communication
— Planning and leading production meetings
— Budget management
— Practical organisation of the production process
— Technical monitoring of the creation (feasibility, preparation of rehearsals, coordination and setting, etc.)
— Drawing up technical sheets for performances
— Technical contact with receptive houses: appointments + planning
— Drawing up digital plans of performances / lighting plans (autocad / vectorworks)
— Technical planning of (inter)national tour (transport, ATA, loading and unloading...)
— Coordination of freelancers
— Tour: technical support, stage management, initial contact with local technicians

— Management + maintenance of technical equipment (depot, inspection, stock, reserve...)
— Facility management

Profile: You are passionate about the arts sector and Needcompany's work. You have sufficient technical know-how to provide the requested support. You also have organisational and coordinating skills to correctly engage and manage the necessary freelancers. You have a great sense of responsibility, can work independently but recognise the strength of working together as a team. You work efficiently and have great perseverance to achieve targets. You are stress resistant and can work under time pressure. You are polyvalent in action and thinking. You jump in where necessary, asking for help when needed. You are fluent in Dutch and have sufficient knowledge of French and English to be able to communicate with many international partners. You have at least a B driving licence. Evening, weekend and international work do not scare you. These irregular working hours are compensated very flexibly.

Offer: Needcompany is a dynamic artistic organisation in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek in full transition and offers an exciting and varied job in a driven team. Remuneration is in accordance with the collective labour agreement for the performing arts with a full-time contract of indefinite duration, flexible hours and fringe benefits. Starting date by mutual agreement but preferably as soon as possible.
